When I first got on the Internet in 1995, the first search I did was of my name.
The hundreds of hits got me excited! I thought that finally I would find out the origin of my name, but since the name is also a word in many languages, the hits were all sites that contained the word mrak.
Born in Croatia, Yugoslavia at the time, I know that it is not a Croatian name. Most Croatian names end in the letters: "ic." There are many Slovenians with my name. The Czech Republic and Slovakia have people with my name.
I live in Canada, and there are no "Mraks" besides family in my city. I was surprised to find that there were eight listings of my name in the country.
Any input helping determine my ancestry will be extremely appreciated.
